Scottish Wedding of Kathleen & Michael at Borthwick Castle

It's amazing how small the world is - Michael and Kathleen had booked their Scottish wedding with LITU when they found out they knew a colleague whose daughter we had married a year previously.

We have on several occasions put a wedding together with the Groom and this was one such wedding. Michael would come under my umbrella of "Romantics" he put a huge amount of effort and detail into the proceedings, taking care of all the finer details to perfection. They were coming alone to their dream Scottish wedding in a Scottish Castle steeped in history and stories of old. Their day was set from when they were chauffeur driven from Glasgow to the Castle, Michael had even taped all their special music which would be played during the journey - it gave them time to relax and set the mood for their wedding day.

Once at the castle they had time to change and be ready for those all important "this is it" pre ceremony photos! Michael was dressed in full traditional kilt and wore it like it was part of his wardrobe, and Kathleen looked totally stunning and elegant in her gown. They had a very intimate candlelit ceremony - again music for the processional and recessional prepared by Michael, and they both spoke meaningful words to each other that they had carefully thought about and penned as a lasting memory of this special day. Dinner and an overnight stay at the castle rounded off their dream day.

Bride and Groom's Kind Comment:-

"Everything went very smoothly - Kathleen and I so much appreciated all the many kindnesses and attention to details that you provided. We have memories what will last forever. Again many thanks to you both for providing more than a service, you gave us your friendship as well"
